Somatic Support for New Families
Nervous system care for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum
Your body is wise. Your body is capable. Your body is designed for this.
Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum ask a lot of your nervous system. When fear, tension, or overwhelm rise, it doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong — it means your body is asking for support.
Talking can bring awareness, but somatic movement work is active and experiential — your body learns through movement, sensation, and gentle practices that prepare and support you through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Perinatal Somatic Movement Therapy Helps You
- Trust your body's cues and instincts
- Release fear, tension, trauma and old patterns
- Find body-centered calm in the midst of chaos
- Establish and maintain healthy boundaries
- Attach securely and lovingly with your baby through movement and touch
What Sessions Look Like
It's a gentle, body‑led process that helps you notice, unwind, and reorganize patterns your nervous system has been holding.
In session, you might:
- Receive hands-on bodywork to help release tension
- Repattern the foundational movements that built your nervous system
- Experience steady, tuned-in connection and support to help your body find safety
Each session is tailored to your stage — pregnancy, birth prep, or postpartum. Sessions may also include baby‑led movement and bonding work when appropriate.
